A Christ Central Network Conference

FAITH & WORK

We spend most of our life at work, but we often separate it from our faith. This year's conference will focus on the intersection of our work with our faith. Learn how faith should redefine our views on everyday aspects of our lives.

Join us Saturday and Sunday, February 24th and 25th.

Christ Central Network exists to network, resource, and relationally support Asian-American pastors and ministry leaders who are planting and leading Gospel-centered churches and ministries.

What is work and how do you measure success?
What is our motivation for work?
What is the mission of your work?

Speakers

Pastor Harold Kim

Pastor Harold Kim

Senior and Founding Pastor of Christ Central Southern California and Christ Central Network, Harold grew up in Southern California before studying History at UC Berkeley. After 2 years at Westminster Seminary CA, he received his M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and his Th.M from Princeton Theological Seminary. He was ordained in the PCA in 2001, and now a member of the KAPC. Harold is happily married to SunHi with two daughters, Taylor and Elizabeth. His passion is to see lives changed as Jesus Christ becomes central—to everything.

Pastor Daniel Kim

Pastor Daniel Kim

Daniel serves as a campus pastor at Christ Central Southern California. He grew up in Cerritos where he got the nonsensical nickname, "Dinko". He married Priscilla and received his M.Div. from Westminster Seminary CA in 2012. The following year, Daniel was ordained in the KAPC. He's a fan of MMA and all things geeky.

Steve Kwan

Steve Kwan

Steve is a South Bay native, husband to Jodie, and father to Samantha (12), Justin (10), Kaylee (6), a recovering startup (7), and a car (14). He grew up in the church, but abandoned the Lord's company after college. God softened Steve's heart, opened his eyes, and gave him the opportunity to learn to hear His voice and seek His will in all areas of the home and office. Currently, he is being guided toward building a company and loving its people with a workplace ministry as its root and servant-leadership as its methodology.

Pastor Owen Lee

Pastor Owen Lee

Owen serves as the Senior Pastor of Christ Central Virginia. He received his B.A. in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley in 1994 and his M.Div. from Westminster Seminary CA in 2000. He is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America and a member of the Korean Capital Presbytery.

Elder Henry & Miriam Kim

Elder Henry and Miriam Kim

Members of Christ Church East Bay, Henry and Miriam have been married for 15 years, live in Alameda, and have two sons, John and James.

Henry is an elder at Christ Church, a member of the Stewardship Team, and a physician at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center with a focus on hospital medicine.

He received his B.S. from Tufts, his M.D. from Tufts Medical, and his training from Lahey Clinic Medical Center. He enjoys his unhealthy addiction to golf, trying to pass it onto his sons.

Miriam serves Christ Church Kids as a local bar association leader. A partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, she focuses on complex business litigation, trade secret matters, and internal investigations. She graduated from UC Berkeley School of Law and Harvard College, and clerked for Judge Levin Campbell on the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Miriam enjoys organizing parties and service projects for her sons and their friends.

Elder Billy & Janice Kim

Elder Billy and Janice Kim

Billy and Janice Kim have been married for 12 years and are members of Christ Central (SF). They enjoy serving God together and have done so as youth group teachers, college ministry lay leaders, and as community group hosts for the past 7 years.

Billy is an elder at Christ Central and the Clerk of the Session. He is a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP focused on the healthcare, higher education, and not-for-profit sectors and serves on the Board of the American Lung Association in California.

Janice graduated from UCLA and received her masters from UC Berkeley. She is a research scientist in the biotech industry, most recently at Genentech, and is currently on maternity leave. She is busy keeping up with her three energetic kids and loves spending time with her church family!

Grace Chang

At 12, Grace emigrated from Korea and grew up at KCPC where she met her wonderful husband, Steve. Running a Korean immersion daycare, serving as Nursery Director of Christ Central (SF), and raising three kids, she is literally surrounded by children 24/7—and she wouldn't have it any other way! God uses them to humble her with His faithfulness, especially through her daughter, Allyson who is diagnosed with hypotonic cerebral palsy. Raising a child with special needs has revealed her true desires as a mother and her desperate need for Christ to be at the center.

Elder George Chong

Originally from Phoenix, George came to the Bay Area in 1995 to attend Stanford and hasn't looked back. Married to Jenny for 14 years, they have three children, ages 6 to 10. Christ Central (SF) has been his church for the past 22 years, and he has served as an elder since the session was formed in 2013. His career has included engineering roles in small startups to large Fortune 500 companies.

Dr. Eric Choi

Eric accepted Christ in high school, reading "Spiritual Depression" by Dr. Martyn Lloyd Jones. 10 years ago, he transplanted to California after growing up in Philadelphia. Married to Debbie for 8 years, they have two kids, Noah and Selah. He now serves as the Diaconal Board Chair of Christ Central Southern California, and has been an ordained deacon for three years. A physician in private practice, he specializes in gastroenterology and pancreatic cancer diagnosis and staging. He also teaches medical students and residents as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the UC Riverside School of Medicine.

Pastor Jimmy Han

Jimmy recently started serving as the Pastor of Family Ministry and Small Groups at Christ Central Southern California in November 2017. Prior, he served as the Lead Pastor of Good News Chapel for 15 years and the Director of Korean-American Campus Ministry for seven years. He is married to Jennifer and has two children, Joshua and Elizabeth. His passion is to see the Discipleship ministry defined and flourish in the Life of the Church.
